Q&A, FAQs, and Policies:

Is this training class for everyone?
Everyone from a the fairly new rider to those that have been riding for many years will see significant gains in their knowledge, skills, and confidence by the end of this class. We ask that you have at least 1500 miles of riding time and are familiar with your motorcycle before signing up for our class. This is not a beginners class to receive your motorcycle endorsement. The size and strength of the rider has no bearing on one’s ability to learn and even master these techniques. Everyone can learn to Ride Like A Pro. After taking our class, people tell us all the time, “I didn’t know what I didn’t know and I’m so glad I took this class.”

How does this class compare to the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) or Harley-Davidson’s Riders Edge classes?
This class focuses on techniques used by Motor Officers in order to maintain complete control of their motorcycles while riding at slow speeds, making tight U-turns, and other maneuvers. In addition, students receive valuable information and advanced skill exercises involving the proper techniques for counter steering, threshold breaking and much more.

What can I do to protect my motorcycle during class?
If your bike did not come with engine guards, we strongly recommend having a set installed. You are certainly welcome to attend the class without them, but you need to know that engine guards can help you avoid costly repairs and even personal injury in a crash or tip over. Assuming you already have a set on your bike, you’ll want to cover the lowest portion of the front and rear bars with a suitable material. Garden hose or Styrofoam pool noodles can be fashioned into place to protect the portion of the crash bars that may contact the pavement. Finally, some students feel more comfortable removing the saddle bags, etc. before class. And that’s fine too.

In addition to my motorcycle, what else will I need the day of class?
Each student will be required to wear the proper safety apparel, including a DOT-approved motorcycle helmet, long pants, over the ankle boots, gloves, and eye protection. It’s important to stay well hydrated, so students should also bring bottled water or energy drinks and fruit or a couple of energy bars to help keep your energy levels up throughout the class. Students should also make sure that their motorcycle is in good working order. Additionally, each student will be required to sign a liability waiver before class begins.

Do you offer group discounts?
Yes, we do offer a discount to private groups with a minimum of 10 students. Contact us for more information about your group and to reserve your class date today.

What if it rains on the day of my class?
In the event of rain, class will be held as scheduled. So be sure to pack your rain gear, towels, and a complete change of clothes and shoes. In the event conditions include sustained heavy rain, high winds, and/or lightening during class, the instructor may delay the class for a period of time or cancel the remainder of class and discuss further accommodations.

What if the class is canceled?
If it becomes necessary to cancel a class, we will make every effort to accommodate each student as best as possible.

Will I receive a certificate upon completing the class?
Yes, each student will receive a “Certificate of Completion” upon completing the class. Insurance companies sometimes offer reduced premiums for continuing education. NOTE: Students that do not complete the class, either by their choice or the decision of the instructor will not receive a certificate, but may be asked to return on a future date for additional instruction and practice time with the goal of completion.
